A GS from Seattle!

TEMP3ST

The New Blood
Hello everyone!

I joined this site, after i started demo'ing my bike apart. Knowing that i wanted a Cafe Racer, but not know what i'm doing, i came here!

My name's Andrew, and i'm from the Seattle, WA area. I own a 1980 GS750E, which i just bought recently.

Here's some pics, of it together and not together:

I do have some questions about certain things, but not entirely sure if i should ask them here :D

Welcome to the site Andrew! Looked pretty clean before you started working on it. How well does it run?

Feel free to ask any and all questions you want - there's a very knowledgeable group here. But you'll get more responses quickly if asked in the 1 800 cafe help section.

Runs pretty well, some of the instruments decided to stop working and i got a slight bit of water in the tank due to a broken fuel cap, but that's all worked out. She's a beast, i will admit that.. I think she could use a good tune up though.

welcome! always good to see another pac northwester. if you start a build thread make sure you let me know in the pacific nw forum so the locals can follow it.

Haha, will do! I'm going to need a whole lot of help though :D Anyone know anything on welding your headers into 4>1? Like.. can i chop it and weld it together? or do i need to buy a 4>1 header?

Yes, another GS! And a bonus you're from Seattle ;D We should ride together someday, eh? I have a 1980 Suzuki GS450L.

And since you have a Suzuki GS, be sure to introduce yourself thegsresources.com. A very helpful website and it is specifically about our bikes.

Welcome to DTT.

oh yes! Definitely! I mostly ride alone case there's no one i know with a bike :D and i will also hit up the GS site.

Welcome and cool bike. I just scored a GS last week myself. I'm a bit south of you down in Vancouver.
