I ride a yamaha SR500 as my main bike, using it everyday. The only thing modified on that bike, is the exhaust and handlebars. I think its called clubman bars around here? we call it M-bars, since it's kind of shaped like an M. /----\ mmm..... see?
A few months ago I bought a '79 honda CB400T. Ugly as hell. Costed me 250 euros.
The plan was just to paint it flat black and just ride it, dont care about the looks because it was modified into a hidious chopper anyway.
Then I changed my mind and thought.. why dont i make a cafe racer? or bobber? Well, I found out that the cb400t frame is a pain in the ass to work with.
I will have to make a seat that matches the ugly frame and cut off a bit of it.
The cb will be a bobber/cafe (maybe a little hotrod) mix. Low bars, low suspension (26cm), thus getting rid of the high ground clearance that this bike originally has, and a lower and smaller tank. Less is more! no indicators, no electric start (long live the kickstart), small air filters.....
