All Mikuni 30s the same?

duggyb

where are the skis?
i got a chance to snag a set of Mikuni 30s off a snowmobile(380F) for $60, just curious if they will work on my 77 360?

i understand they need a rejet, and a manual lever choke and new throttle cable/pods

but DCC wants $335 for the whole package and i could piece it together for much less!

They'll work, but you'll need to replace a lot of the brass. If you're looking for brand new at a more reasonable price, check this out:

Where do you recommend getting jets for the vm30's I got from you?

This is the place I normally use:

Their prices are very good, but the shipping will get you so try to make sure you order everything you need in one go as the shipping is pretty much a flat rate.

what brass would need replacing? they look almost the same as the ones on DCC except they dont have manual choke nor one brass fitting on the bottom of the bowl.

Main jet, needle jet, pilot jet and probably the needle which isn't made of brass as a rule. Those parts will probably need to be changed wherever you buy your carbs.

Sleds also come with 1.5 float valves for fuel pump operation, which must be changed to larger for gravity feed.
