Rather than getting an alloy Manx Tank, (you wont get one cheap...), which seems like all the DTT Toronto guys have, why not chrome the cb750f tank like I did:

Loco, i think you're the right person to ask this question since you worked with both bikes: being new at this I wanted to know if a 1980 cx500 tank would fit easily with a CB750F frame. I'm thinking of using that tank with carpy's clubman cafe seat http://cb750cafe.com/parts.php?id=78 .... Appreciate any input...

You can make anything work... It just may need some welding and modifying...
The cx tank may be about 1.5 inches shorter than the stock cb750f tank so you will have to either relocate the rear tank mount or just build another set up... easy...

Appreciate the pics dude...saves me time experimenting...chromed tank is definitely better over matte black... I'll be posting my questions and pics regarding my builds at other threads...member intro is done atthi point...photo bucket instructions were very helpful...great job managing this site dude...later
