I found some inexpensive header wrap on Ebay. Here's a new 10'x2" (3m) roll that's at $2 plus $10 shipping ending soon.

or a 5m roll BIN for $15:

According to the links, both are 5 meters. One is about $12 shipped, the other $15.

Same vendor, same description...Always amazes me...

I don't know how I messed up the 3m one.
What is so amazing? One is an auction and may end up being more than the BIN, and one is a BIN. Some may not want to wait around to see if they can get a few bucks saved at the end of a week and will just go ahead and BIN. Some people don't look closely enough at the shipping prices and if the auction one goes for more than $5 for the roll the seller makes more than he would have on the BIN listing. It's all psychological. When a seller lists something for $9.99 the human mind sees $9. not $10.00 which in reality is what t is. They will say you can get it for less than $10, ya it's $9.99, technically less than $10 but it's still $10.00. The only thing that amazes me are stupid buyers.

Either way those are good prices for header wrap even though I would never use it.

Amazing is the marketing and pricing. I check the sellers store, and they often have BIN prices all over the place. A theoretical item might be $10 with $15 shipping and while another is $24 with free shipping....goes all over the place.

What also is amazing (maybe I should say interesting) is how much the shipping varies. Bids will start low with a high shipping cost, the BIN price will have a much lower ship price. The bid, is still close in the starting point to the BIN price. In many cases, I see people run the BID up well over the BIN price. Seems no one checks their prices and lets the "excitement" of winning a bid overcome good sense.

I always check the sellers other goods, as well as other sellers with the same product. There are some good deals out there.

Caveat Emptor

The low start price is to make the item come up first when you do a "lowest price first" search. The high shipping makes up for the low start price if a customer decides to bid.

It basically just gets people into the store. That's half the battle won when it comes to eBay and items out of China.

I know that. Been on eBay for years. Still interesting the marketing tactics used.

I started online in 1984, my ISP was "The Source" owned by readers digest. Used 300 baud dial up. been buying online from about then too. Had to telnet to bbs and leave messages payment was snail mail checks.

Craigslist has the same thing. People list $1 as the price when it may be $1000. Gets the cost filter down.
