ARGH!!!! Might need new bronze bushings for my XS650 swingarm

I may have distorted the bushings when pressing them into the swingarm. The sleeve doesn't fit, which SUCKS! I waited a month for a new sleeve to arrived from Mikesxs, which I ordered because their website suggests the old sleeves may not fit in the new bushings. But, the new sleeve doesn't fit either.

So I'm into new bushings unless someone can bore the existing ones out. Anybody got either new bushings or some machining skills?

I dont know if this will help... but I have a spare set of cb550/cb750 bronze bushings??

A ball brake hone that you can get at NAPA or any other GOOD autoparts store will solve your problem. Also, when I did mine on my KZ, I didn't have one handy, so I used a round flapper wheel (like the ones used for porting cylinder heads, only a little bigger) I crammed that sucker in the hole and just kept going on each one until the axle fit nicely. Not the nicest or most precise way to do things, but hey, it works.

Well here's hoping it's a relatively easy fix. I've got a message into Art who's done all the work on the welding/machining/polishing thus far. If it just needs a slight hone then we're in good shape. I can always put a new set in later, but I really want to get this thing up on two wheels soon.
