I corresponded with Veloman yesterday and he stands by his withdrawal of the Venom. So be it.

What ever happened to the back story we used to do? I personally don't have time to read a good build thread but the back story took care of that. It's how I always voted. If the owner didn't care to take time to do a short back story the bike simply didn't get my vote. If I want photos to jack off to I'd go down the the five and dime and buy a calendar. Pretty pictures is just that. The back story to me however, is what this site is all about and always has been. The back story would take care of a lot of the B.S. issues that come up month after month. It let's the voting members know exactly what they are voting for. Anyone agree?

I agree

... besides dotheton members have shown time and time again that cafe racers dont need to be fast its all show for 90% of this crowd. Cookie cutter cb's with the same thousand dollar tank, tail and universal rear sets.
Little harsh don't ya think?

I haven't been on DTT long enough to have seen many of the BOTM nomination threads, but are they always like this? I would imagine it gets old pretty fast.

Wow! You guys have been busy on here! Isn't anyone out in the garage or, better yet out riding? :-*

Listen, we go through the same discussion every few months. I'm tired of it. Get away from your computer, get on your bike (if you're lucky enough to have one running) and get some perspective. Sheeesh.

Nominate a bike owned by a member of the forum. 2nd the bike. Accept the nomination. Vote. Simple.

Shamus, you're so right! :) I'm not new, and I'm tired of it. :P

Maybe we should limit the ability to nominate to members with more than 200 posts! :o :o That would ruffle some feathers. ;)

For those of you with less than 100 posts, spend some time. Get to know us before you start telling us how it should/shouldn't be done around here. ;)

Tim!!! You're gonna hafta "save us" again!! Arrrggghhh. ???

Skipping over all the drama.........I just want to say thanks to Tim for giving us the opportunity to vote for a bike every month. I know it's a lot of hassle and he probably wants to do away with it every now and then, but thanks.

I'm locking this thread and will sort out the voting tomorrow when I have a better interweb connection.

It's probably going to take me a while to sort through all the debate and figure out which bikes are actually part of this month's festivities. In the future if there's debate to be had, feel free to start a new thread but keep it out of here. 14 pages of posts to nominate a few bikes for the contest is a bit much.
