Best Mikuni Needles for Bleed Type Needle Jets? (Running Rich)

The beauty.

Something seems off. I am somehow still running too rich, despite:

-7000ft elevation (thin air, not helping)
-Bleed type needle jets (more air)
-175-P2 with some lean 6F4 needles set at the leanest clip setting (top notch)
-170 Mains, haven't gotten that far to diagnose their effectiveness.
-UNI pod filters.

What are some leaner (thicker) Mikuni jet needles?
6F4s are supposed to be for 30s and up anyway, so idk if thats an issue running them in VM28s.
I have read other setups and I shouldn't still be running rich.
Air filters off it runs better.

Lots of stumbling around 3K, exhaust backfires, and lurching.
Sometimes it hits though and feels perfect, accelerates like my RD!
I know it's getting close!!

I thought lurching was a sign of running lean, though?

Disregard unless you are as bored as I am.
Would love to hear other's setups with Mikunis. 350s and 360s or 450s (mines a 378) :P

what pilot jet

what air jet if any

what throttle slide are you running (most important)

30 pilot jet
have .8, 1.2, and 1.6 air jets, currently with the 1.6, might try that with a primary style needle jet (159-P0) if nothing works
2.5 slide, i would agree this is important, but the problem is most pronounced at half throttle, not just off idle.
