there is no way you would want forwards wiht that bar set up, either nutural (standard) controls or rear sets are going to be best, notsure if you have ever rode jockey but with that set up it would be a bear man!

as far as the seat cover, i use neoprean as well

definitely forward controls would look horrible with the setup you've got going...the front end style with that modern faring is much more fitting to rear sets than anything else I think...not even mid controls.

i think ill keep the mids for now. i did decide on a color scheme and sprayed the old tank and fenders today to see how i like it. i should be going tomorrow to get a parts bike and some tanks. ill update after i get the parts. heres the paint. i think i figured out what this thing is. i think im gonna call it a streetfighter lol. but the other bike does have a title and i think it would be perfect for the next project(hint CR500). heres the bike.my mig ended up messin up so i didnt get the shock mounts welded but i am going to make this baby low.

the only thing I'm confused about is that you say it's a street fighter, but then you say you're going to make it low...so that can't be a streetfighter in essence. A low bike will have clearance issues...all of which street fighters generally avoid with their rear sets and high exhaust. I'm really digging the look from the tank back, the shock position looks awesome. I'm not much for your front faring though.

Duly noted. I love the fairing. It hides the gauges and makes it look cleaner. I say streetfighter because that's what it is to me. A street fighter with bobber touches. Touchs like the high pipes that are unbaffled and the super low stance. But yet streetfighter touchstone like the fairing and fender on the swingarm and short fender in the front. A bobber to me is hatdtailed. No matter what. No disrespect to anyone. Everyone has there opinions on what a bobber or streetfighter is. I say just build what makes you feel good. And this fits this bike for me perfect.

hey guys been awhile since the update. so i bought another cb360. came with two good tanks,side covers,and title! all for a hundred bucks(and and hour and a half drive).

also in the garage is a 80' gs1100. my buddy picked it up for 800 bucks. we rewired it. cleaned the tank and threw on a new exhaust. im bidding right now on a 4 inch over swingarm for it. its gettin a new tale and headlight. anyone know where to get a mini tach for this thing? i was thinking a cb750 mini tach would work.ill post pics when done with this one. shouldnt take long.we have an 1/8 mile track about twenty minutes away so this one is getting drag treatment (the other cb will get the motor pulled,swingarm lengthed 5 inchs lowering shocks,cb200 or fiberglass tank and a cr500 motor. will try to keep it street legal and will make another build thread for it) so heres the gs

i seem to remember the streetfighter evolved in good old blighty where they looked low and long like drag bikes bare minimum body work with flat colours .they looked a bit mad max to me.then the race rep boys started spending too much money on them and they got all blinged up to buggery. anyway love the look of this bike ,very smart.

Man I get more comments on the headlight/ fairing than anything. I've gone as far as throwing a round headlight back on it but it just didn't feel right. The headlight makes a statement for me. Some love it and some hate it. I'm keeping it on there just because it gets so much attention. I was thinking I put a chin spoiler on just to help pull it all together. If I do change the headlight I wanna go with a v-rod style windscreen with it. What do you guys think of a pointed chin spoiler?

made a sidedraft air intake. A simple 4 inch air cleaner for a single barrel Carb some rubber boots and tubing should provide good cold air

well the other 360 I bought had a set of good rebuildable carbs so I rebuilt them and am using the stock 100 and 35 jets to start. Baseline with them. I decided to not use the high pipes and go with a two into two with stock R1 cans on each one. I'd like a two into one exhaust but its not in my budget.

what about just 2 of those filters mounted right to the carbs?

and that fairing would look much more nasty if you dropped it down about 3 inches. if need be drop the gauges too so they stay behind the fairing.

yeah, I can't help but think it's overkill...over thought or whatever. It doesn't fit the style that trying to be achieved though, at least I think so.

Eh it doesn't haave a style. Its just a tubular intake. The bike will set low enuff for the nay Sayers not to notice.
