The cover was actually made in Thailand like yours as they were the only ones who could make the heat seamed suede top. This seat has some very interesting details such as the suede, not stitch top with only side stitching and under stitching on the vinyl.
All's I can recommend is take as many pictures as you think necessary then go over it again and take new pictures from different angles. The key in the photos is the individual teeth that hold the cover on, hardware location, spring location, spring direction, strap location, grommet locations, rivet locations etc. There can never be enough photos when working on something so old.
The soft foam was replaced around the top and sides however in the interest of preserving/restoring to original we reused the high density foam over the springs and around the back of the seat. My upholsterer was very nice to work with as he agreed in my plans to restore the seat not simply replace everything for new.
