Cafe Racer Seat Mounting Suggestions

Shortly I will start building a CB750 Cafe Racer. The idea of using the original seat hinge sounds interesting. Anyone have pictures of this installation? Detailed pictures of other installs would also be greatly appreciated. Attached is a picture of the seat I intend to use.

I actually have been wanting to do the same thing. I haven't found any kits or seats that are made to fit the stock hinges, and honestly I haven't been able to find too many pictures of other peoples seats that use the stock hinge. I still plan to do so but I actually want to make a cafe seat using the stock seat pan and building the hump part out of fiber glass, the same way you would make the cafe seat yourself.

Easier said than done. I obviously haven't done it yet, I still need to get a seat pan to start it. But in my head Ill make it work lol

I don't know how the CB750 seat hinges look, but on my cb450 I was able to unbolt them and weld up a new subframe for the aftermarket 'glass seat I used. I like being able to flip the seat up like it was intended.

I like how you did your seat. Seeing someone else's work gives me more ideas of how I can do it. Thanks
