well if that's all it needs then do it before you sell you lazy fuks, otherwise its a fucking PARTS BIKE !! ;D

Those are the bikes you buy cheap and flip after you fix the problem. I missed out on an RC51 for $1200 by 30 minutes. The guy who bought the bike fixed the carb problem and sold it for $3000.

And the back tire is so leetle :(

It like he took a front rim and stuck it on the back.

Funny- one can buy a new Thruxton from a dealer with clear title for a $1000 more than this joker is asking for his salvaged bike that needs $800 in parts. ::)

If it's a salvage title, it's likely that someone else bumped it, he collected on the insurance, and now wants to sell it and make even more money... although if it's truly as little damage as he states, dunno why they would total it and write him a salvage title. Fishy.

When you total a car they normally come and retrieve the old car and provide you a new one. Wouldn't they do the same thing for motorcycle?

If they total the bike, you can buy it back from them for pennies on the dollar. That's why you see a lot of sport bikes with salvage titles.

Jrs has it right -- I've done it. But when they total a car, just like when they total a bike, they don't provide you a new one. They cash you out at the negotiated value of the car, and you've got to get a new one -- or you can buy back the car in the same way you can a bike, for pennies on the dollar. Did this with both a CB350F and a 1970 Dodge Dart. Got both for $500, both were written off as totaled (but with not that much damage to the CB, Dart had rear springs messed up), got $1200 for each, bought both back. Had to fight over the value the CB350F -- it was very clean -- but I still have it to this day.

Good to know if I ever total my car.
