Caliper O ring

OK Lads, after a long process I was able to finally get the front caliper on my 76 cb360 apart. Piston and bore are in great shape so the only remaining part in question is the O ring . Being as how the edges are squared off is it possible to replace it with an O ring and if not, is this part available without buying a rebuild kit? Tahnks for any assistance.

You should be able to get that seal from pretty much anywhere that sells vintage parts, and even from Honda. If you haven't re-done your master cylinder, get a kit for that too. Don't use an o-ring.

If you want the brake to work you need the correct square edge seal
The bore it it's in is machined with a slight angle so 'inside' edge is slightly higher than outside.
Fluid pushes on piston and seal.
An 'O' ring will let fluid leak out

It also causes the seal or roll slightly when the brakes are applied so that when you release the brake, the piston retracts slightly.
