Cam chain tensioner/slipper 76 CB550

I noticed last night that the slipper of my cam chain tensioner is cracking near the ends on the non-wearing portion. Anyone have any experience with this? Is this something that will cause a problem or do they all look like this?

Also the sleeve around the spring has a few pieces braking off. This one I am not as concerned about, I can probably rig something up to work.

Anyone have a line on either of these parts?

Looks pretty normal for the age, just keep an eye out for black bits in the oil in future
The tube on spring is just a damper, you could remove it and fit a short piece of nitril fuel line over spring
