Can I run a 90-80-17 (3.5" wide) rear tire on a CB125s?

I'm looking for a new rear tire for my 1975 CB125s.


It's currently running a 3.00 x 17 that's older than your grandma.
So I know I can run this one:

But the question is - Can I run this one? (I'm concerned about the width).

as always, what's the rim width? (not the overall width, between the bead seats)
It will be stamped on it somewhere
The Hagon site is under re-construction so you'll have to check somewhere else at present for tyre selection/rim width
3.5 will go on rim but will 'bulge' a lot, you probably have a 1.60x17 rim, 3.00 is on it's 'limit'

that's right. 160Ax17W is stamped on the rim.
I think I'll stick with the recommendation and go with the 3.00 x 17.
