can you identify this 2LS front hub?

hey y'all,
i just picked up some new wheels/tires for my race bike. the rear is a CB350 hub for sure. but im not sure about the front... its about the same diameter as a CB450 hub, but the brake shoes are way wider. i think it might be Suzuki? GT500, GT550, T500? can anyone tell?

obviously its had a few modifications, i think originally the brake linkage went above the axle. the brake scoop is not stock, and the speedo drive has been removed.

I can tell you it isn't a GT550 as that model had a 4LS front like the GT750. It's definitely set up for racing with the safety wiring etc. Nice hub! Run it for sure.

Michael Morse at Vintage Brake can probably tell you what it is blindfolded from 1000 miles away and can help you dial it in with fresh pads/drum surfacing etc. as needed.

Looks like a Norton to me. Those "fins" on the inner part of the hub are a pretty solid sign. I have several of the cl450 hubs and several other Honda front 2ls hubs, never seen a Honda with those type of fins... A few Norton guys on here though that can probably tell you a specific model it came from as well.

I got a hub that looked like that about a year ago. The owner said it was stock on a 78-ish Suzuki GS400, but I haven't seen one on a "stock" bike. I ended up giving the hub to Bradj, who said it looked like a Suzuki Titan wheel.

There are no markings inside? It should have the maximum diameter (for wear), but there might be a logo or other info somewhere.

Suzuki GT 500 was disc front but the T500 had a similar looking drum with drilling's
Looks like the inner webs have been welded, they are a known weak spot on T500 drum

It's got a few extra spoke holes as well.

It's a slightly modified T500 Suzuki and PJ is correct that they crack really badly when used hard.
