So I bought a cb 125 s the other day, and I was taking the carb off to clean it up. I took the top part off where the throttle cable is, and all these parts came out, before I could see how they were together. I'll I can find on the web is diagrams, but they don't tell me much, could someone help please? I understand where the cable goes into the cylinder, but hows does the needle, retaining clip and that v shaped piece go together? Thanks!

You start by putting the e-clip on the needle like it is in your second picture. Now it has to go in a certain slot. If the bike is stock (i.e. air filter, exhaust, etc.) put it in the slot that is specified in the shop manual. Once that is on, slide the needle down into that cylinder that is in your third picture. It goes in the end that is opposite the slotted section of the cylinder. Once its in, the little V shaped clip has to go in, it keeps the needle in place. Just slide it in and position it so that its totally flat. The design of it allows it to press against the sides of the cylinder so it won't come out and it keeps the needle in place. Next up is the spring and cable, slide the cable through the spring, and then the ball end of the cable goes into the cylinder via that slot that is shown in your third picture.

If this is hard to understand let me know and I can take some pics of a similar carb I have.

Just found a picture of that V shaped clip that may help, here is the site I got the picture off, there are a couple more showing the process. It's a different carb, but process is similar. http://motopsyco.com/2012/08/02/dirtbike-carb-101-part-3-lets-put-it-back-together/
