I have been at this for a little longer and that gave me time to read and make mistakes and hopefully learn something on the way. Funny thing is that I'm sure I am learning more now than I did when I "knew it all".
Those in pipe baffles will restrict flow more than your current set up.
What I would do, and I realize that no one else IS me, is to cut off the collector and tailpipe and replace it with the correct size plus a decent muffler. I like a deep exhaust note but I also want it to be pretty quiet. No need to attract the wrong sort of attention when I am already getting the holeshot when the lights change or outbraking a car for the next turn.....
