I'll give you a call on Saturday. I'm busy till then, I would love to take a look at it. I don't thing it would really be too big for my GS650G....we will see....Thanks.

Saturday should work for me, I will be in and out in the morning but I will be home the rest of the day.

You want flake, check these guys out:http://www.frenchkisskustoms.com/?id=paint

I don't think the American/Brit cafe guys are really doing the flake thing as it should be. Obviously, it's a bastardization of 60's psychedila with the new Japanese neo-traditionalism. The chop guys are getting back into it.
I'm ready for the flakiness 8)

thanks bud... but i am going to make my own paint... most rootbeers take 4 to 5 layering coats to get that color... i want to shoot it in a single stange... the gold i am going to make my flake with crushed glass to really make it pop... this is a budget build... if i can not make it myself or fix what it has... i will not be using it... onlything new on the bike is going to be tires, bearings, and brake pads!

No not too often, I tried to do something last year nothing came of it, but me and a few of my like minded cafe friends hang out at S&L cycles in Waconda since they build cafe bikes and stock all of the parts, and we hang out over at Nostalgic Autobody in Island Lake since they paint a lot of vintage bikes/ cars.

wow man that looks great!!!!! no need to say sorry brother that looks awesome on the bike! how about a whole profile shot?

Hey gang
Thanks for the words and you are right, the seat did not suit it as the bike was so small, the Girl wanted a seat that she could ride 2 up yet keep the Cafe style.
but I changed the bike with the seat and podwercoated the rims etc and a few more touches to the motor.
She had to sell it as the thing was too fast for her with the hopped up motor and dunstall pipes.
I have learnt alot since then though.

Of course I remember you mate, been a while i know, but I have been throwing my self into desgining new products and of course, creating cafe Racers, such as the Koppa Kafe which I did so much. The motor is a Ko and is blue printed.

The Supercharger runs by belts and pullies from the crank, as does the magneto on the otherside.

The yoshimura is an original series one I have had over 30 years, the swing arm was in my mums shed for 3 decades until last september, i used 3 gas tanks to make one. And of course, slung on a double chain as she kept eating single ones.

But its a fun bike and really turns heads for sure.
