CB 175 Swing arm bushings

I am in the process of replacing the swing arm bushings in my 72 cb175. I'm looking for a bronze alternative if this exists for the pivot bushings. If anyone has any information as to where I can find some please comment. Thanks in advanced! I attached a few pics from a week or so ago.

Replace them with needle rollers and keep the ends of your plastic bushes as thrust washers.

that sounds like a good idea but the original ones fell apart during removal. Could i get the needle rollers and just find some washers the same dimensions as the original collar if they were separate?

Not really but hold that thought. They do make a thrust washer with needle rollers in it -that's what's on a TZ250/350. They look like a thick washer.

Here's one for a Yamaha that will be a little large but may just work. It shows you want you would be looking for.

Or try to find some bronze bushes on line. http://www.ohiocycle.com/ has some for a CB77 that I think are the same size, but you need to check that.

The needle bearing washers are a very good idea but the only reason I would need those is if the bearings that actually go into the swing arm do not have a collar. Correct. Most needle roller bearings don't have a thrust face. TZ350 uses long needle rollers plus a thrust needle roller. On our CB160/17577, we use a normal roller it's HK22-30 or a pair of HK220's but you should check that to be sure and I usually just saw off the last 2-4mm of the old buch to get the end flange.

That sir is an ingenious idea!!!! to bad mine exploded while exiting the swingarm...... I see eBay listings for bronze bushings but they are only for the cb350 and cb500's and so on. Whats the likelihood of them having the correct dimensions?

Pretty good. Ask that in a new thread - someone made a batch for those bikes a while ago and should know.
