Clean the area and leave the side cover off while the motor runs and see where the leak develops.
Never took the top cover off. But the PO may have. It's never been running as long as I've has it until I got it running last week so there's no telling.TheCoffeeGuy said:forcing oil out the top end is odd. Check the breather tube on e top cover. did you have the covers off? make sure you put them back in the right way otherwise you can have oil buildup on the front side. Then that oil will exit through the cam seals.
