cb 750 peg/motor mount bolt too long.

when removing the factory peg set up ive discovered that the lower motor mount bolt is too long.what have you guys been doing to fix the length?sat in the garage and stared at it for long enough to convince myself i could trim and re- thread it.

i have the same problem, i think im just gonna grab some of those aluminum spacers at lowes. that or bring it down to a local fab shop and have them cut and thread it shorter

I just bought some aluminum stock, cut it a couple of inches shorter, and then threaded it.

Used a die, cut the threads down another inch or 2 and cut the excess off.

nice.i was looking at it tonight and noticed the shank on the bolt was perfect for hitting with a die,i wouldnt have to turn it down.thank you again
