CB100 Wiring Issues

Well after two months of tinkering i realised i can't sort this wiring out on my own.

I have changed to a new switch block from the originals. Attached is the wiring key for the new switch.

It seems this has less wires than the original switches. There is no where to connect the Yellow and Yellow white wires in the attached wiring diagram.

Currently the bike runs and the headlight works. The indicators come on but don't flash. No brake light or tail light.

Can anyone shed some light on this please. I am guessing most of it is to do with the yellow and yellow white wires.

Number six, the red wire, will need to be plugged into a black wire in the harness.

No flashing on the turn signals is probably due to your flasher relay. Either it's bad or you're using LED turn signals on a non-electronic (aka thermal) flasher.

Tail light is the brown wire and brake light is the green/yellow wire in the harness.

For those white and yellow wires in the harness, trim them up a bit. The white wire, as it leaves the alternator, should be spliced directly into the yellow wire. The yellow wire then goes to the regulator and then the rectifier. I can't recall off the top of my head if the CB100 has a regulator, but if it doesn't I definitely recommend upgrading to a new R/R combo unit.

Does the brown wire also have to join to the black wire? Can't work out where that needs to connect too.

My bike only has a rectifier not a regulator.

At the headlight end should the yellow and white also connect to the wires that go to the original switch block? Seems that they all link when I look inside the original switch.
 
Brown wire (in the harness) gets fed directly from the ignition switch. It gets power when you're in "park" or "on" position.

For your new controls, the yellow and white wires are not used. They should be spliced together. Make sure this is the white wire coming from the alternator, though, not the white wire going to the headlight.

Because you don't have a regulator, make sure your headlight is always on.

In the stock controls, the white and yellow wires would complete a circuit when you turn the headlight on. These two wires are AC voltage coming from the alternator. What this does is provide additional charging to help balance the electrical load of having the headlight on. It's a pretty basic system that helps keep the voltages at acceptable levels. Your new control switch doesn't allow for this additional circuit and so you're getting the extra charging all the time. If you don't have your headlight on to help use up some of that wattage, your battery will absorb the rest and boil away the electrolyte. That's why I suggest getting a voltage regulator on there.
 
ok so everything more or less works, seem to be having a few hiccups though still.

Only wants to charge intermittently. Thinking the stator may not be putting out the correct voltage. Does anyone know what voltage each wire from the stator should be putting out?

I am still having charging issues. As in it will not charge. Any suggestions? Done everything you recommend above.
 
Have you tested the stator yet?

There should be about half an Ohm between the white, yellow, and pink wires, each. None of those wires should have continuity to ground.
