CB125 engine swap

Fat man on a little bike
Hey all! Quick background: first bike, 1979 CB125s. Cafe project. If you want to check it out, the link is in my signature or whatever it is.
The intake valve seat is gone, and nobody here can salvage it. My last hope is from kopcicle, who was looking in to getting it fixed. But in the meantime, lets wander down a different road. I have been looking in to buying a new cylinder head off of eBay for a few days now, and have thought about swapping on a similar head (XL125/185, XR185/200) since they seem to be a bit easier to come by (and cheaper). But, in cruising craigslist today, I found a good, running XR185 engine for $150. The mounts look similar, and I have been put under the impression that CDI is better than points. So, it comes down to the feasibility of doing this swap on a budget. I need to buy a new coil anyways. I have access to metal cutting and CNC through school, for making any necessary brackets and such, welding I can get done. My grandfather is an electrician, so working with the wiring should be not an issue, with a trusty wiring diagram at my side. I have a brand spankin new 22mm mikuni that I was going to use, can I use this on the 185 motor, or do I need to get a bigger carb? (I want to say it had a 26mm but I'm not sure.)
Basically, how feasible is this swap on a budget?! :-\
If I do go through with it,. I'll be sure to make a thread for it, or just post everything in this thread. Thanks guys!! ;D

Why not buy a used head?
Honda made millions of these motors.
A few heads listed on eBay now.

Check out oldrice for some interesting swaps.

Will one of the one piece heads that are for sale work on my engine? mine is the 124cc with the two piece head. I was curious, because for $50-60 more, I'd be willing to get some more power and an engine I know is running well.
Will definitely check out oldrice too! thanks!

Quick question: Is the 185 a 12V engine? Or at least how can I tell if it is 6 or 12 based on the wiring diagram??

One piece head flows less so would be a down grade.
Few two piece heads listed on the bay

Voltage only has to do with the coil, not the engine.
So, what would need to be done to get it to a 12V? Or would running it as 6V be easier? I need to buy an ignition coil, so I was just curious if the XR is 12V or not. Thanks for the help!

I left out that the charging system also matters.
Easy way to tell is find out what battery came in the bike
