DTT BOTM WINNER
I have a CB160 that appears to be about 98% complete. The previous owner started to remove a few small tabs and stripped the motor completely.

Since then the barrels have been rebored to match new pistons and rings. I can rebuild the motor for a new owner or let them do that themselves if they feel so inclined.

Frame forks wheels etc all look good. All the frame parts are in a large box including stock bars, carbs fenders etc.

It comes with a set of clubman bars and a pair of new fresh tires that I have not fitted. Stock seat is there plus I bought a new cafe racer seat that looks fabulous. Need to make up some simple brackets to fit it.

So you get:

- CB160 more or less complete
- Title
- Rebored barrels and new pistons
- New tires
- Sexy NEW cafe racer seat
- Clubman bars
- Most of the stock parts
- A pile of rusty looking stock exhausts that I have not even looked at yet.

Location: North East Illinois - near 6 flags
Price: $500 as is or $600 if I rebuild the motor for you.

PM sent. Pics are available. Today I cleaned up the crankcases and fitted spare side covers and painted them with heatproof paint. After that fully cures, I'll assemble the bottom end. The cranks looks perfect and so do the gears, shift forks and all the dogs on the gears. Much cleaner and less wear than many motors we have stripped when we raced the little CB twins.

I have a couple of good cylinder heads to choose from and I could fit a tacho drive if that was of interest to a buyer. Two styles - CB200 and "race kit". Your choice - or plain can towers.

$500 for a basket buck60 CB ;)

Camdamra broke son... your a genius and no pics :(

up in our neck of the woods (Milwaukee/ Chicago), that's a good deal. If I didn't already have a cb200 waiting for me in my garage, I would be all over this deal.

If you were closer, I'd want that. I've been wanting a 160 to race. Fast enough to have fun, slow enough I wouldn't be afraid to open it up.

Thank you for asking. Yes. It seemed reasonable to me.

Then I scribbled out the cost of parts already purchased including new pistons, rebore and hone, UNI pod filters, new tires, seat, side cover allen (cap) screw kits, new gaskets and seals and so on, and that list came to more or less the asking price which made the basic bike free.

J-Rod, I can build you a 5 speed CL175 sloper to race if you are interested. I have a pair of race prepped frames, alloy rims, and who knows what else. Or a 4 or 5 speed 160 motor with 160, 175 or 200+cc bores. Or I could sell you a 180 degree crank and ultra special camshaft that Jim Dour at Megacycle ground for us. Mild or wild, we have you covered. Carbon fiber tank shell over a small alloy central fuel tank perhaps. The options are almost endless.

That is a completely different pile of parts than this one though. I started to build a second pair of race bikes to race when my better half was racing hers, but that became problematic because if I race I am not being very supportive of her and with back to back races I have to have her second bike warmed up at the hot pit, so she can swap bikes and not miss the start. When I'm racing I do get a little competitive and that means she doesn't have as much fun, so those two bikes were never completed.

Bottom half of that motor is almost done now and it looks really good. I'll take some pictures with the barrels in place and post them.

To me also hens the winky wink, not from CL, but from a fellow DTT genius... no worries mang.

I still caution the no pics thing... izit pink?

Motor is getting there. Top end has to be bolted down and I'm waiting for dome nuts to show up so it can be finished off

Looking very nice. I've been looking into the cost of pistons and such for my own bike and can attest to the fact that this will end up being a great deal for someone.. Someone much closer to Illinois than I.

Motor looks great. I would at least be interested in seeing the pictures. What would the top speed end up being? Usable on the street?
