CB160 Shocks

I'm looking to replace the stock shocks on my 66 CB160. Anyone suggest a good aftermarket brand and where to find them?

Seen a pair of Redwing Assault R8 that are 330mm in length. Not sure what the stock length is but raising the rear a bit would probably help the handling.

Went ahead and picked up the Redwings. Also purchased a pair of lower bushings from Joker Machine to allow for 10mm bolts but need a spacer to make the shock fit on the top mounting bolt. I read somewhere that there's a common tubing size that works for the Hagons but don't know what specific size and if this is true for the Redwings. Anyone run into this issue and have additional details? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is turning into quite the fiasco. Got the spacers that were supplied for the top mount drilled. Had to drill the lower bushings cause the bolt still wouldn't fit. Got the shocks on and it looks like the shock body is too thick on the bottom for the chain to clear. If I crank the shock collar all the way up, I get about 1/8" clearance...whiskey tango foxtrot!

Called the eBay seller, Rusty Riders. The guy was cool and said I can send them back for a refund but I'll be left looking for other shocks. Anyone know of a way to get the Redwings to work or other aftermarket shocks that would fit?

Looks like you're absolutley right...emailed Dave Quinn Motorcycle on Friday and got a very detailed response yesterday. Went into detail on the upper and lower mouting sizes, what I'll need to do to make them fit and what other CB160 owners said. I was very impressed. Also, asked me to provide my weight and if I'll ride two up or with luggage. The extra money spent will be well worth it for suspension that'll work much better, especially if I decide to take the bike to the track.
