Cb200 in So Cal

Hello we've just started this mild Cafe build. I've been lurking and enjoying the forum!

This is where we started:

Clubmans, Tires, Turn signals, Taillight, Exhaust (now wrapped)

This is where we are headed:

We have a "new" tank and rims out for powder coating. Next up is the swing arm mounted rear fender. I haven't seen one on a CB200 but I think we can use a bone stock fender (without cutting it) and make a low fitting short fender. The seat is going to be the trick. Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes its a 1200 mile garage kept beauty from Kansas. I bought it a few years ago in Sturgis to tool around town when I was at the rally with no bike to ride. I got more attention and thumbs-up from people that week then I ever have on bigger bikes. After the rally I brought it home and let it sit in my garage for five years. One of those... "this would make a sweet little cafe bike".

We're going mild on the mods, no weld, no chop. I'm keeping all the original parts so it can return to stock in the future. Its too original to tear-up but too fun to leave alone.

be sure to start a build thread. Love the look. Id add some red in the tip of the seat to balance things up. You said no chopping but in that photo youve chopped the frame tail off. Its just to easy on photoshop...haha just cafe it & leave it.

Good eye on the photoshop chop... yes we're leaving the frame tail to hold the turn signals and the frame hoop. I like the color suggestion on the seat.

Check out the build thread... I have a photoshop with a metal seat that uses body color.

I know keeping the "stock" parts is a disease. It'll never go back, but I like having lots of motorcycle parts laying around.
