Question for CB200 owners. The intake manifolds on those engines - are they like the 175 ie parallel mounts or do they splay the carbs out slightly? The reason I ask is that I have seen two different manifolds. One was just like a CB175 but made in rubber and aluminum. The other pair had a wedge shaped piece of machined aluminum on the carb end to splay both carbs out slightly.

I have no idea which were stock. and which pair were modified. Anyone shed any light on that?

Cheers

The manifolds do not splay out at all. They run straight back. BUT the flange on the engine side does have a taper on the bottom so that the manifold runs more parallel to the ground and not on an upward slant coming away from the engine. Maybe you can see it in this pic.

Thanks. The pair I have are like those but with two difference. They are not drilled & tapped for carb synch and they have a tapered plate attached to the carb side that wedges/splays the carbs out slightly. They came on an earlier engine we got a while ago. They were loose, so it's safe to say they came off a different CB200 to the one the motor came out of. Interesting
