CB350 Aluminum Swingarm - what's adaptable?

Coast to Coast
Hi everybody,
I know it's not really '60's style, but I wondered if anyone has had experience adapting an aluminum swingarm to the CB350 frame? A cursory search leads me to believe maybe a Honda swingarm from one of their '70's dirt bikes would be a good candidate and ya, I know, might have to do some welding for shock mounts and stuff, but don't want to totally rebuild it to get it to fit...
Baring that, is there a steel swingarm which is a little longer and fits (fairly) easily? Ya sure I know I can cut the swingarm and install steel extensions but...
Let me know - thanks in advance for everyone's help, suggestions, etc.
Pat.

Did Honda use alloy swing arms on MX bikes in 70's?
I thought it was early 80's?
Maybe XR200 or XR350/400?

You're right, me bad. The '80's bikes are the ones...
I guess the '70's Honda CR I was looking at had a Thor (or somebody's) aftermarket swingarm on it.
I damned near bought a CanAm alloy swingarm awhile back -really good price and all that - but the chain is on the right hand side and the bend of the swinger didn't really seem to fit the whole program.
If I can find a steel swinger a bit longer, my fallback program is to get the swingarm chromed or powdercoated aluminum.

Hey Pat. Don't quote me on this, but I feel like someone here ran a cb500four (IIRC) swinger in a cb350 at some point and it was longer. Again, I'm not 100% on any of this... Haha...

Oh, and as far as aluminium, the 80s MX bike is your best bet. They can be had on the cheap (ebay) as well.

XR200 won't work on 350 but XR400 might
