CB350 Carb question

Just got my CB350 running and forgot to hook up the drain hose to the bottom of the bowl on the carb. I noticed a good amount of gas draining from the bottom of the carb out of what I believe to be a vent of some sort. Is it normal for gas to drain out of the carb like this? It seems like it could potentially be very dangerous. The carbs are the stock keihn.

It does not seem like the float is sticking and causing any sort of overflow, the bike runs and idles great.

any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

It's an overflow, either tube inside float chamber is split or float level is wrong.
It should be dry

thanks, i'm going to check the float level tomorrow and set it to factory spec. What do you mean by the tube inside the float bowl? Are you referring to where the main jet screws in?

The one the over flow tube attaches to sticks up about inch and a half inside
