CB350 not starting after rebuild

wow. after an engine rebuild and full overhaul my 73 CB350G isn't starting. This is what i know:

The headlight works.
The horn works.
The neutral light comes on.

I pulled both (new) plugs and they don't spark.
None of the turn signals work.

I have looked at the wiring diagram and don't know where I went wrong. I am hoping someone out there will have a suggestion of where to look. Maybe there is a connection that controls the spark plugs and the blinkers?

Thanks

Have a look at the wiring diagram and just focus on the ignition circuit. Not too much wiring in that circuit so just trace each one through. Have to ask since it happens to everyone, you had the kill switch turned to run? When you set the points were you getting power there?

ok so i checked the wiring and it looked like everything was hooked up right. I checked the spark again the evening and it looks like i have spark on the right side but not the left. Could that just be the spark plug cable or some other component?

The horn isn't really working either. I tried two different horns and they both do this kind of slight glurgle but no real sound. any insights with that.

Lastly, and worstly, I messed up the threads on the right spark plug hole. how should i go about getting those fixed. should i even try tapping new threads at home or is it too risky?

i am really getting pretty bummed on how close yet forever far away i feel i am to getting this thing running so any help would be great. thanks!
