cb350 rectifier

I moved all of my electronics under the rear cowl. I made a new bracket for my rectifier that uses the original hardware but I used rubber bushings to stop vibration on the part. My question is does the rectifier need to be grounded through the bolts. Its original location was bolted directly to the battery box in steel brackets, that I assume was grounded through the bike.

Hope this makes sense.

If the old position was that it was grounded, you can safely say it has to be. Check your manual's wiring diagram for reference. Three horizontal stripes in a triangular shape means grounding.
