CB350 Top end removal help!!

Been Around the Block
I have been trying to remove the cam out of my '72 CB350 K4 engine, but I need to loosen up the cam so I can get the chain loose. I can't turn the cam to loosen the sprocket because the engine is locked up. I read someone else took off the sides and it loosened the cam enough to be able to get the chain off, but the left cover, where the points are, is stuck on the cam. Any ideas on how to get it off??

Get a three jaw puller.
That's the only way I was able to get mine off.

But first I'd try to free up the engine.
Fully the cylinders with seafoam for a week or so

So, I did what you suggested and used a puller to get it off and now the cam will turn. Now I can't get the sprocket bolts out though. Any suggestion on how to turn the bolts without turning the cam too?

Hold the crank still with a second wrench. You can also put it into first gear and have someone hold the rear brake.

To get the cam sprocket off, I use the grip of a padded adjustable wrench and wedge it between the sprocket and the casing so the sprocket can't turn, it's the only way I have come up with to get it loose.
I guess you should probably loosen it while the guides are still on. But your past that now, so wedge something in there and don't scratch or bend anything haba
