So... I'm an inline four guy most of the time, but have been expanding my horizons and working on some twins. Ran into a problem yesterday with a friend's 1971 CB350 twin.
I'm adjusting the valves. If you're familiar with these twins, you know they don't adjust at the valves themselves like the fours and some other twins do, but rather the adjustment screw is under the points plate. So -- one screw to adjust both left and right valves? Doesn't make too much sense to me, but whatever. Here is the problem: the left side adjusts fine; I can actually see the rocker arm moving up and down as I turn the screw. Not so on the right -- there doesn't seem to be any adjust, and I can't get the feeler in the gap. Yes, I have the timing plate on T and not LT, and have made sure that it's not on the front valve, which is fine. Something broken or not right, or an idiot behind the screwdriver? Ideas? Thanks all.
