CB360 Brake spring

Installing my rear sets, got excited and cut the brake arm up before double checking the spring. It's close to fitting, but not quite. The only solution I can think of is to heat the spring and try to bend it to fit. Not sure if that will compromise the strength of the spring though. Any other solutions that don't involve buying another brake arm to cut up?

I did mine this way too, but did manage to leave it long enough. How about a large bolt or threaded plumbing fitting from the home center that you would thread into the hole resulting from cutting the brake lever. You could put a little JB weld on the threads to "glue" it into place (I'm assuming you do not have access to a welder.)

I can't help w the short cut arm. And I know its now late for this news...

I installed my sets this way. I pm'd a guy here about the functionality, he said "they worked great and he had even "accidentally" locked up his rear tire a couple times, by pressing too hard."

Sad to say, he was FULL of SHIT. The set up sucks w the lack of braking power...practically nonexistent and all but useless.

Hopefully Ill get to take a spin on deviants machine next spring. Then decide if I will convert to his cable setup. even though he says its not the greatest thing either...its got to better than this.

Anyway I hope yours works better than mine.

Sounds like a legit solution, kosmoto. Will give it a shot. Do have access to a welder, just don't know how to use it.

Still a noob, j-rod. Not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing. Looks like a good setup for the set. Have a pic from the other side?

Sucks to hear trek. Suppose I can give it a shot, but not really sure what other options their are.

Im sorry to be a downer dude.

But, just find a buddy to weld it up for free...cause if you find you dont like it (same as I dont like mine) and re-visit it to make a change atleast your not out the cost of another lever arm.
