Cb360 caliper piston orientation

Which side makes contact with the brake pad? The side with a small bevel in the center (oem) or the side with the recessed lip around the perimeter?

I have the original piston on the left in the photos and a replacement piston I ordered on the right. The new one is making clearance issues with the pads-rotor. I believe it's because there's no bevel machined into the back side. I just wanted to check with you all before I contact the company and return their supposed "cb360 caliper piston".

The lip on the replacement is what the brake pad rests against.

The caliper itself has to be adjusted to be in the right position. The screw with the spring and lock nut centers the bracket/caliper. Even if the pad sticks out a little further, you should not have an issue. My replacement was the same, and works perfectly.

There is no bevel on the back side of my replacement piston. Was yours the same? I attached a picture of the "nipple" protrusion at the bottom of the piston cylinder, the replacement piston has no recess machined to recieve that protrusion. The pads are about .04" too narrow now to accept the rotor. Thoughts?

I did the brakes a year ago..Honestly, I don't remember..I may of had it.... I just put fresh pads on the front this past Saturday. I had plenty of clearance even with new pads. Even if I didn't have the depression.

Are you sure you have the right pads?

What brand pads are they? EBC should be FA13 number to be the correct ones.
