CB360 Cylinder Head

Hey Guys,

Unfortunately i picked up a cb360 only to find out later that it has an exhaust stud broken off inside the cylinder head. I took the motor to a machine shop and the guy thought he would be able to get the stud out but was unsuccessful.

He told me he thinks the only way to fix it would be to cut the stud out, helicoil it and weld it back together. I think this sounds like an iffy way to fix the motor....

Unfortunately i've looked all over ebay and cannot find a used cylinder head. There are jugs everywhere but no cylinder heads!!!

Can anybody suggest some options? Maybe know the location of a cylinder head?

Thanks for the help guys!

if its just an exhaust stud thats broken then i wouldnt be opposed to a helicoil. Its not like its one of the cylinder head bolts.
I say go for it.

i have a spare head i think, but i would soak that sum bitch in pb blaster for like a week and then see if they could weld a a t-handle to the broken off stud in the head and heat it up a bit and try and turn her out of there. is there any of the threads left sticking out that you can grab? if so i've had it happen to me and i soaked it and heated it up and used a small pipe wrench to grab it way better (VICE GRIPS SUCK!!!!)

if you need a donor head shoot me a PM and i'll look. good luck

I've got a spare but the oil channel is non existent, if you think you could use it I'll give it to ya for 10 bucks + shipping
