Hi gents:

I was back home for the holidays and my brother and took the CB360 cafe racer I build out and flogged the shit out of her. The static pics are of my brother Shaun. Once of the YouTube Video is of me. My wife didn't take any pics of me riding.

All comments are welcome.

Hey Chris, bike looks good but I would recommend you lower the headlight ears and clubmans as well. It would put the "racer" look back in "cafe racer". Other than that the bike looks good. Also I would recomend trimming the bottom rear of the seat as it looks like its unfinished.

Like the logo as well.

Cheers

Hi Paul:

Thanks for the recommondations. You're right about the headlight. Sadly, I never noticed before going back and looking at the pics. IIRC, I planned on doing that last year, but I guess I forgot about it. Consider it dropped a couple inches.

The clubmans are were they are for erogonomics. Those aren't the shit clubmans everyone buys on eBay (which, it should be disclosed that I'm running them on my 2-stroke); those are tomeselli's that are shaped differently. To be honest, the bike feels really good with those clubmans. I might put a set on my cb350 because the clip-ons are numbing.

The seat trim...yeah, I hear what you're saying. Thing is, it looks it looks like that because it is handmade. We're conditioned to seeing purchased products--not so muchsitting down and learning a craft. That bike has gotten dirty, greasy and has some blemishes. It actually has quite the nice patina. Makes me want to finish the exhaust on my CB and finish out the RD. It's fun riding!

Very nice Chris, love the tank and tail combo. Other than the headlight that beast mentioned it looks and sounds great. Looks to have some nice pickup to it as well.

Riding stance looks to be comfortable as well. How do you find the rearset position? I don't have rearsets yet but my fear is finding the correct position.

Hi:

The riding position is really nice, but it has to be said that I'm short: 5'7". As a warning to others shopping those specific rear controls, they suck. Well, I don't like them. They seam to flip up at bad times. The action is very smooth, so I think the fixed position ones are the best solution.

I don't remember those pipes from the original build are those new? CL pipes?

On the seat, that pic makes it look like the back portion has tabs on it, if it were straight on, it would show that it curves in where the light is recessed...

Is that the tank from the yellow Benelli Mojave 360?

I have those and is still looking for the gas cap..Sigh. :( Can share where did you get the cap?

Btw really love the bike!! Great shots as well!!

Very nice - on the headlight ears - don't just drop them - flip the ears over. I think you'll like the angle of the ear relative to the fork tube better - closer to perpendicular.

Agreed with Tim.

Btw may i know how you make the tank from yellow to shiny chromy look? Did u use paint remover or sent it for chroming?

You cant do that with Ebay ears, the bolt would be exposed.

Nothing a pneumatic sander, a little TIG and some powder coat won't fix. However, I think I'm going to just get a set of the DropBars headlight brackets. They really are the best available.

But thanks gents for the comments. You guys are right in that it will look a lot better.

Yeah, I've never been a huge fan of the 'eBay ears' as they were described. I'm using Tommaselli ears that have the rubber bushings for vibration dampening.

The DropBars billet ones look great - probably too short for my application - I'm running a vintage Lucas headlight bucket and it's pretty deep.

Yeah, you can do it with those ears, I have the same ones and I run them parallel to the ground, just swap sides.
