Got this about three months ago. She was a pile of snot and moss. Many thanks to my friends in Portland, ME for their guidance and support!

My really good friend Kegan did the work on this seat. Stellar job. If you're local, he'll do work for you.

This is my buddy Caitlin taking the ol' whip for a spin at Portland Head Light.

This is as she sits now. I threw a set of 750K shocks on there, as the other set were complete and total junk. The suspension is very stiff now, but much better than the XS650 hardtail this bike replaces. I was kinda worried that the bike wouldn't have enough "go" for me, but I've found it to be quite quick (for 35 year old 360cc motorcycle). Stay tuned, there's a '72 CB750K with an 836 kit in it on the bench now...I can barely contain my excitement!

Peace,

Seth

Bike looks even better in person! Nice work Seth, and quick work too! I got the cafe 360 started yesterday. looks great, sounds mean, smoking like a bastard. :-/

Thanks, Scott! I appreciated the help from you and Mike. Sorry to hear about the smoking issue. You gonna pull it back apart and investigate? If you're doing one, may as well do two and fix that exhaust stud of mine ;)

pulled it all apart, apparently mis-measured the cylinders. worn out of spec. Mike had a spare. will have it all sorted this week.

Nice job man! Looks really good. This may serve as inspiration for my 350 build. Where'd you pick up those pipes? Also, what tires are you spinning on that thing?

I once met a guy whom built high performance stunt airplanes and he told me, "The reason my work is so good is because by the time the plane reaches the customer, I've rebuilt the thing twice, sometimes three times over!" I think this mantra crosses over to custom vintage bikes.

Twinkeel,

The pipes are just shorties you can find on amazon, DCC, etc. I fitted them to the stock header, welded the joint, slapped some high temp paint on them, wrapped them, and called it a day. If you do wrap them, I think two or three pieces of stainless wire to secure the wrap is just as classy as those stainless clamps.
The tires are are 4" Dunlop K70's, a gorgeous tire IMHO. Keep in mind, you will be unable to fit your stock fender brace with that size tire up front. I have yet to find a solution.

Regards,

Seth

Love that seat! How do you like those mufflers? I have been thinking about getting those.

Thanks a buddy of mine that does boat upholstery made it for me...looks even better in person. Those aren't just stitched panels, they're actually pleats. The pipes are loud, but perfect loud, not stupid loud.
