Swing arm is officially stretched. 3in should have this baby sittin about perfect. With the assistance of the BFH the slugs went in nice and smooth. The slug for the brake stay doesnt have as tight of tolerances which is good as I doubt it would hold up as well to the hammer.

I threw it on the bike quick to see exactly what it looked like and I think its perfect! Just enough to give it a little length and some extra room for the wheel but not so much that it looks obnoxious.

I decided to go thru the harness today. Im pretty much pulling everything that doesn't make the lights come on or the battery charge. There is still some work to do but I need to get it back on the bike before I cut into it any further.

Also got my new tires! So stoked on these I cant wait to get them mounted. I put in an order for tubes, rim strips and bars so this thing might actually start looking like a bike soon.

Havent gotten anything done as Ive been too busy playing with my new toy. I should have got rid of my R6 a long time ago! This thing is an absolute blast!

Well... its been awhile. Ive been screwing and around with the Harley all year and now that is cold again Im back to the grind on the Honda.

I just fixed the rear hoop and got the swingarm welded up. Next on the list is to get it rolling and redo the shock mounts. The person who did the mounts put one on crooked as shit so im just going to chop them and do it myself. Also putting new mounts on the swingarm so the shocks are at a normal angle.

Planned on getting the tires mounted tonight but only managed to get the front on. For the life of me I cant get the bead of the rear over the lip of the rim. Anyone have any tips or tricks?

Man that design is awesome. Been contemplating on hardtailing my 360 but yours has got the look I see in my head. Just got to tweak it so im not a pure copy cat. Cant wait to see were it goes from here. Jealous of the harley all I got is another honda to ride :P

Bring it in! haha I had the same issue with my CB500's rear tire. Cost me $10 at my local bike shop. Saved me half an our of swearing and the guy wanted to know about my project. win-win if you ask me. 8)
 
Well, Ive been dragging my feet because Im terribly unhappy with the shock mounts on this thing and I dont have a my own welder to fix them. Ive decided Im just going to suck it up and fix them when the bike actually runs. So... assembly begins.





Should have been on its wheels today but I spaced off and forgot a washer for the neck bearings then ruined it trying to take it off. New bearing is in the mail so it will be rolling early next week I hope.



Also, if anyone has some risers they want to let go of for cheap let me know. Mine have gone missing and I want to see how these dirtbike bars look.

And my almost done sportster to keep things interesting in here.

 
Some more progress. Had to drill out the allen bolts that hold the forks together but I was able to get the seals in finally. Also, knocked out a seat pan quick. Turns out a need a new wheel bearing so Im going to see if I can score that locally tomorrow.



Question... Do yall think I can get away with cutting out the area circled in red? The yellow would be a cross brace but it would be hidden by the seat. I think it would be cool to just have a hole there.

 
What is that, 2.5 or 3 inches clearance between tire and rear loop, with no engine or rider weight on the back end?
You aren't worried about that?

Not worried. Ive tried to make the tire hit and haven't been able to do it. Worst case scenario I raise it a tad when I redo the shock mounts.
 
OK. I think you might find that once the bike is weighted with an engine, you are on it, and you do anything like go over a bump, you will need a fair bit more than you currently have.
Just pointing out a future possible issue. A 16" rear might alleviate a lot of that.
 
Finished the front mount for the tank. Whatever bike this tank is from has narrower and smaller tabs than the stock 360 tank. Cut the stock mounts off and ran some all thread through and then reshaped the rubber a bit. Going to weld a bung onto the backbone for the rear mount.

well... turns out that tire hits like a son of a bitch. Not the end of the world Im just going to have to move the shock mounts earlier than anticipated. The shocks themselves are pure mush, feel like Im sitting on a pillow. Anyone know of a super stiff shock? something like the burly slammer shocks I run on the sportster would be sweet because they are rock solid.
