Evening...
Anyone following my build might remember I had to get a new head and cam, I'd had the old knackered one soda blasted with pretty good results, then I had to get a new head off eBay which was pretty grotty so while it's in bits I decided to try aqua blasting. The head has valves in and the blaster advised to remove them before blasting.
I got myself a new tool ...
... and some supplies
Managed to remove valves easy enough...
Do the parts circled below come out? Are they pressed in? If so I think I'll mock up a cover to protect them during blasting rather than remove. Or do they come out easily enough?
The valves are pretty cacked up what's the best way to clean them up or should I just leave them? Should they be lapped when re-assembling?
