Cb360 white smoke from carb?

compoundcycles

Been Around the Block
After about 10min of riding I can look down and see white smoke coming out of my right side carburator. Ive double, tripple checked my valve clearances. I can see the smoke puffing..or leaking out through the pod filter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just one thing to check, could be your valves are not seating properly, due to wear/damage.

Due to the fact I prefer my crotch not to be engulfed in flames, I was advise further investigation before further riding. ;)

So after further inspection at home the smoke is coming from the breather cover, not the carbs. Is this normal. I don't have anything on the breather cover...no tubes, no filter. It seems like a lot of smoke to me...at least noticeable enough that I can see it when I look down while stopped at a stoplight.

What causes this? Should I be concerned...I have kind of a long ride planned for tomorrow.

I did a compression test 125 L, 150 R. I did not have the throttle wide open, but the engine was warm. I'm going to change the oil tonight too.

Your sue it's not venting from engine breather?
Without throttle wide open you will get variable results

I'm sure it's coming from the breather. Also, I went to go change the oil and 2 full quarts were in there previously. I was reading in another thread that too much oil can cause excessive smoke from the breather.

It could be normal, could be a cam shaft on the bbq. Check for top end oiling immediately. Cb360s love camshafts for lunch.
