Anyone know where I can find some? I'm rebuilding the engine in what is going to become my wife's bike (since she stole it from me...) and one I'm not very confident about, it looked like it was ready to snap. I know you're not really supposed to reuse them but I'm having issues finding a set.

Have you tried your local Honda Dealer? They are most likely a common size and shipped out of Torrance within a couple of days.

If your dealer plays hard to get, look up the part number at an online store and take that number in and have them look it up.

I have not, I can't actually even tell you where the nearest dealer would be.

My thought was from the factory they have those weak little metal circlips. Would I be able to replace them with a same size and diameter snap ring?

009 CLIP (16MM) 94601-16000 004 $0.46 $0.46

House of Honda has them...@ 46 cents apiece, the shipping is 10 times the price.

You have to be in some pretty far off place not to have a Honda dealer relatively close....

But they are still stocked, so look around for a closer dealer, or another online, or use HouseofHonda, they are pretty good people.

They have a bunch of stuff, some of the rubber parts, you may need...I'd get the order up a little higher to justify the shipping.

Found the nearest dealership is almost an hour away.

Thanks for the Link, I'll keep it in the archives for later bits. A friend of mine actually turned up with a set in his vast arsenal of motorcycle parts. Still in the little plastic bag and everything, he said he built a bike with a 360 motor for the off-road tracks and actually unloaded a bunch of stuff on me.

Now to try and sort out the wiring harness...Or what is left of it from the last owner. :/
