unfortunately i think im going to have to sell it , for some reason i can't get comfortable on this bike , ive owned many sportbikes(gsxr's, ninja zx10r) and never had a problem like this before , after a 20 minute ride im done . im kind of on the tall side so with the lower seat the pegs dont feel good (even tried rearsets on the passenger mounts and still a no go ) i think i might try a cb750 next hopfully there a little roomier for a bigger guy

Hey that looks great! Not sure if you've tried it yet, but you could always drop the front an inch and mount your clip ons above the upper tree. that might make it more comfortable with the bars higher. I'd probably toss the chain guard too, but it looks good either way.

Clip-ons and stock pegs usually don't mix well as it hunches you over too far without your feet being in the same type of posture.

Think about it would a GSX-R or ZX10 be as comfortable as they are if the pegs were in the same position as
the CB500?

Either try what drackett_19 said or mount up some rear sets or both.

I do alot of the old Hondas (alot of CB/CL350s, a few 350Fs, a 500T and a 750SOHC) and the CB500 4 is my favorite. Yours is looking very nice. These bikes have enough power to ride where you want, but are small enough to toss around. They have a simple tank and side covers that look good stock. I'd give it a chance. I ride a CB350 right now, but I'd get another CB500 4 in a heart beat.
