I just rebuilt a 500t here. Oh boy are they lovely. Sure they are a little harder to get shakin', but they're complete gentlemen. Sit upright with your matching brown leather briefcase, roll off quieter than a Benedictine monk, and wave like His Royal Highness.

So I was able to rig something to stop the spring. However now when I push down on the kickstart there is barely any resistance and I don't hear it turning the engine over, I haven't put the clutch back on yet though.

This was this morning, had to clean the carbs again and it fired right up.
