CB550 Cracked Engine

So today, while I was cleaning up some gunk off my bike and getting around to pinpointing an oil leak under my sprocket cover I found a crack in the engine. Since this is my first time dealing with a problem like this I just wanted to know the right course of action. There didn't seem to be any oil leaking from there but I can't be sure since that whole area was caked with dirt and oil from a leak coming from my shifter shaft. I've read of people fixing cracks with JB weld, would this be a good fix?

Don't fret, that looks to be a casting mark, mine has the same. A little hard to tell for sure from your pictures, but if it aint leaking oil.
