kill switch connects white/black to black. If you're blowing fuses with the killswitch you're prolly attaching black to ground instead of black to black/white. You can simply ingore the killswitch by connecting the 2 wires (black/white and black) instead of using the killswitch. They need to be connected in order to fire the bike. Ditch the killswitch and hotwire black to black/white.

Claxon is the horn haha sorry language problem ;)

red/yellow and black are starter button. black/white is coils wire and black is positive.
starter button connects red/yellow to black, killswitch connects black/white to black.
Why are you using 2 black wires to the same switch assembly?

Connecting which two wires to the killswitch, blk and blk/wht?

yep. they need to be connected to get her going ;)
When you apply the killswitch you're actually detaching those 2 wires.

Ah. The horn!

The switch has both the starter button and the kill switch.

I actually get spark from the coils before the fuse blows, which makes me think there is either a short somewhere or the coil has too low of a resistance for the 5A fuse. I'm running 3 ohm coils when stock for this bike is 5ohm.

Like Bert was saying... unless you wrap this connection in electrical tape it will most likely short to something and pop your fuse. That black wire carries current when the ignition is on.

Unlikely, but could be. So you;re saying the bike runs but blows fuse after couple minutes? coil gets big peak at startup so fuse would blow right away... If youre running it with the tank on, that black plug could hit the tank or sum...

Well... actually neither. I was testing to see if I had things hooked up correctly and so I cranked the motor over by pushing the starter button. That worked. Then I decided to see if i had spark coming from the coils before I added fuel in to the mix (baby steps, you know?) so I disconnected the spark plug wire, switch the kill switch to run and then, without pushing the starter, I would get spark coming from the coils, I could see the fuse bending (about to break) so I turn the switch back to off. After that, I hooked the spark plug wire back up and then when I flip the kill switch to run again, the fuse would blow immediately.

Well, you're most deff shortcutting. I'm not sure about the dyna's but is there a specific way the wires need to be connected? That's about the only thing i can think of right now.

You're getting power to the coils, thats for sure ;)

is more info. im kinda stuck.. sorry!

That's awesome man! I'll take a look at these in a little bit (stupid work getting in the way!).

You could also hook up the old coils and check if the problem persists. If so, you know your dyna's are good. If not, you know your dyna's are bad. good luck and please keep us posted! wondering what this could be..

I have spark now. Combination of two things: changed to a 7A fuse and also shielded and heat shrank the blue and yellow wires. Now I don't have any random arcing or fuses blowing.

I'm going to order the covers for those Multi-plug connectors from vintage connections and get it all buttoned up nicely.

Moving on to why I have no fuel getting to the bores.

Thanks for the help, guys.
