CB550 Four Shitty Acceleration

My CB550 is having a hard time acceleration. I feel like off the line, it just should have a lot more "action" if you will. Sometimes there's some popping noises going on, and the pipes are a little gold, so I guess it's running a bit lean. However, I just feel like the acceleration should be a lot better than it is. All four cylinders are firing. Any suggestions?

When's the last time it had a full tune up?

do a complete and comprehensive ignition tune up and adjust the valves,reset canm chain tensuion put in new sparkplugs buy and fit new sparkplug caps if the ign points are pitted go ahead and put in new ones good jap or oem honda not china grade crap
check intake boots for airleaks i am sure i am missing something but you must do everything on the list it will keep you busy for a while get to work
