CB750F to a CR750

honda parts direct still hasnt send me the rest of my parts.....

not really happy at all with that right now....
 
ive never had a problem with them before.
hell over the years ive ordered $1500 from them with no issue.
dont get whats going on now.

i want to place another larger order but not feeling it if the first isnt done.
anyone else know an OEM honda place with honda parts direct prices?
 
There seems to be an issue with HID kits that take 2 or 3 seconds to fire up as you dip the lights or change to high beam. On a car that's a problem. On a bike it could be serious.

You probably need a bi-xenon kit with one bulb and a motorized shield but that necessitates fitting a complete projector light.

im not 100% but i seem to remember alot of guys running the DDM bi xenon kits with good results
you raise a good point about the lights
i have never seen them need time to warm up to high beams but maybe im dealing with something different.
i know the aftermarket lights take a second or two to get going from off.
 
yeah, ddm's kit comes with a magnetic actuator that either pulls the bulb in or pushes it out when the high beam is switched on..

been slow the last few weeks. I had finals.

Next on the list
-Figure out a better way to mount the front fender then with hose clamps
-Fab up a new mount for the dash that lowers it a bit.
-I cam across a deal on Ohlins shocks and was thinking about them
-And over the summer I should be getting a Raid Titan tank and seat. not sure if ill use it on this bike or my K1
-I hope to have the bottom end of the stroker motor together over the summer

Seen this HID kit used on the bikes before and they work great

Those are Hella 500FFs with DDM 55W HIDs....
second pic is before I got them aimed well.
Honest they will make you blind if you look at them level closer then 5 feet.....no joke.....

Moved the bike back to my house from school.

well after the move she is back together again!
more speed bumps but im chugging along well now.
cleared out some other toys to raise money and space
 
been following your build religiously and your quality of work is amazing


im looking at ordering one of those trail tech dash kits myself but am not sure which one to get.. are you at the stage to start wiring it up yet? will it be difficult?

Thanks very much

Im running the "air cooled universal" dash
I have not wired it yet but it doesn't look like it will be that much work to run it.

Yup office space....lol

Some times i have music on other times i put a movie on.
I don't really watch it but its nice to have something to break the silence in the shop
