cb750k4 bare essential wire diagrams

Coast to Coast
Hey guys, I'm currently working on a 1974 cb750k4. I was looking into buying a new wire harness but decided instead I may just keep the old one, cut it open and remove the unneeded wire to keep a clean look. I was wondering if any one knows of a wire diagram that would shore what is needed to have the bike run along with, horn, blinkers, tail light, headlight and gauges light. Also looking to install modern inline fuses and would appreciate advice on that.

This is kinda cool and self explanitory. Lets you choose what you want to run.

But just out of curiosity, if you're looking to run all that, what do you plan on removing? Most guys that go into the harness are removing turnsignal / running light circuts and resorting to hand signals. You can't very well do away with the starting, charging or ignition circuts. After that there's not much left.

Here is the one I worked up for my '78 F based off of several minimal diagrams floating around. Surely not the only way to do it, but it might help you out.

I haven't done electrical before but mainly I'm looking to get rid of the mess attached to the side of the battery box If there's another way to do that I'm all ears. I would eliminate the turn signals but I need them to pass inspection and keep the bike legal. Also looking in how to do in line fuses.

If you are changing the location of the bits on the battery box, you'll need to do a pretty significant rewire. It would be much more complicated to try to modify the stock harness. Do a web search for cb750 chopper diagram, simplified diagram, or minimal diagram. There are plenty of options out there. Let me see what other images I have around.

Here are the files that I scavenged for mine.

Thanks that's more than helpful. I'm hoping it'll get easier once I start getting into it. I'm still looking for some suggestions about doing modern fuses.
